Coach Carter has 6 years of experience coaching varsity girls lacrosse, starting in spring 2017. Coach Carter spent 1 season as a varsity assistant for Woodstock HS, then transferred to River Ridge HS where she was a varsity assistant for 1 year and the JV head coach for 1 year. In Fall 2019, Coach Carter was hired as the varsity head coach at North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, where she stayed until Spring 2022.

Coach Carterâ??s lacrosse background includes playing from 2005 at the 5th grade level, all the way through middle and high school, continuing to be a member of the Womenâ??s Club Lacrosse team at Kennesaw State University, ending in fall 2016. From middle school through her junior year at KSU, Coach Carter played attack. She finished her lacrosse playing career as a midfielder and draw specialist. Coach Carter served as captain of her high school and club lacrosse teams during her junior and senior years of both high school and college. In addition to various leadership roles, she also won several awards during her high school career, including Offensive Player of the Year in 10th grade, Offensive MVP in 11th grade, and Team MVP in 12th grade.

When her family moved to the North Georgia area in 2005, girls lacrosse had not yet made itsâ?? way to the youth level in Cherokee County. In the fall of 2006, a girls team was formed that included all of Cherokee county, and Coach Carter has been involved in lacrosse since.

Lacrosse has always been an outlet for Coach Carterâ??s competitive spirit, and has been a source of many life skills such as the importance of teamwork, leadership, and self-advocacy.
